| This weekend had some ups and some downs...
1. Got a hair cut 2. 6:30 meeting at the buy 3. Watched MSU lose 4. Physically stopped a fight between 2 high schoolers, twice 5. Spent 2.5 hours in a lake doing physical labor 6. Played an hour of apples to apples
all that on the weekend before the busiest week in retail. Thankfully I start my internship December 1st.

| Five and a half years ago, after swimming at states, i told my self I was in the very best shape of my life. I allowed that to be a self fulfilling prophecy when I stopped training completely. I've reaped the benefits for a few years of a mostly sedentary lifestyle. Now i say NO MORE.
I've begun an aggressive new training plan that should whip my body back into shape in hopefully only a few months. If you want to see what I'm shooting for, check out this video that was made probably sometime in april or may of 2003.

| Vantage Point, or the short story that became a film. However, the problem was this short story, shot as written would fill up around 15 minutes of film. So the writer and director created a device. The idea was to show this event from the perspective of a few key players in the event. This isn't exactly an original idea, but done right, this could make for a very unique and exciting movie. Instead, what we got was a repeat of the same story over and over, about 7 times in total. Each time they let the story run a little longer, as to tease the audience what happened to that particular character in the segment. What ends with an exciting story, twist and chase scene is a movie plagued by a long and somewhat boring build up which, in this writers humble opinion, cause the movie to be crippled by its own format.
other than that- if anybody out there is working in production and has any leads, I'm all ears...

| its amazing how seemingly reasonable people go crazy when they think they are being cheated. example: Two days ago I sold a man a camera. He seemed like a good guy, nice and polite. He came in the next day around 1 and told the girl at the counter that the camera he bought didn't have a battery in the box. This is something that he can't really prove and seems unlikely, but it was the situation. So i grabbed a new camera and brought it up, so we would have it if there were going to be an exchange. Usually when this sort of thing happens, it can be resolved pretty quickly and everybody goes home happy. Between the time I dropped the camera off and walked the 50 ft to my department, something got him real upset. So upset he was yelling loud enough to be heard all over the store, insulting the girl behind the counter and my manager when he finally got there.
It was a sight to see (and to hear), and sadly we had to ask him to leave and let the fuji customer service take care of it. It was too bad, if he would have kept his tone down for another 2 minutes the manager would have found him another battery on the spot, instead he'll probably have to wait 4-6 weeks for fuji to take care of the problem.

| A few things about the last few days. First, flag football in the rain rocks. especially on grass, especially with a bunch of high schoolers on wednesday night.
Second, frisbee golf is my new time waster of choice. no, i haven't taken up smoking, thats just the stereotype for frisbee golfers. But I am happy to say that after only a few weeks, i'm already getting better. In mid-May, mikey and me were tossing discs up and down Andover's football field and I was consistently throwing 50 yards. I went back today and was throwing 85 yards. woo hoo
second and a half, I found out today that Pudge Rodriguez (catcher for the Detroit Tigers) works out at Andover High School. As I was leaving, he pulled up with some buddies and they started doing laps on the track. sweet, next time i'll bring a tigers cap and be a typical annoying fan.
Third, dave is getting married this weekend, that is awesome. For his bachelor party last night I played my first real game of ultimate in like 2 years and it was sweet. I haven't had that kind of fun since MSU.
Fourth, the Red Album by Weezer is totally sweet.
